Dr. Mitchell Hanson is a periodontist with a unique background in biomedical engineering and a passion for delivering advanced, patient-focused care. He provides expert treatment in periodontal therapy, dental implants, and regenerative procedures to patients in Naples and Bonita Springs.

Dr. Hanson earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Missouri Columbia (Mizzou), where he developed an interest in biomaterials and tissue regeneration. After working as a healthcare technology consultant, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2022. His enthusiasm for periodontal treatment led to his selection into the highly competitive periodontics honors program, where he gained early surgical experience.

He completed his specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. During residency, Dr. Hanson conducted clinical research on regenerative treatment for peri-implantitis and developed advanced skills in digital dentistry, including 3D printing, guided implant surgery, and minimally invasive guided tissue regeneration techniques.

Dr. Hanson is committed to helping patients achieve and maintain lasting oral health using modern, evidence-based care. Outside the office, Dr. Hanson enjoys hiking, traveling, photography, cooking, exploring new restaurants, and PC gaming.
